Serian ‘The Original’ was the first camp set up by Alex Walker and perfectly captures the essence of its Masai name: ‘peaceful, calm, serene’. The camp was designed to be a retreat from the bustle of contemporary life and a chance to experience untamed Africa in traditional tented splendour. It is one of just 11 member camps in the private and exclusive Mara North Conservancy and has five vast, spacious tents. All the tents are set on hardwood decking above the Mara River with views over the Olooloo Escarpment and have an adjoining bush bathroom. All clients have exclusive use of a 4×4 safari vehicle and a dedicated guide and spotter. Serian Mara is a delightful oasis of calm.
