Remote and unspoiled, the 110 acre private Lupita Island sits in a small archipelago of islands off the shores of southern Lake Tanganyika.

Ten private cottages are nestled among indigenous forest with breathtaking views of the lake and mountains. The ‘rooms without walls’ provide luxurious accommodation for those looking for a remote adventure or relaxing escape in this untouched part of East Africa.

Adventure on the lake and nearby islands; kayaking or water skiing on the crystal clear waters, scuba diving or snorkeling to discover the underwater world and rare cichlids endemic to the lake or hiking on a neighbouring island experiencing the local fishing culture and way of life in traditional swahili fishing villages.

Relax by your private plunge pool, soak up the sun on the island’s beach or unwind with a spa treatment with panoramic views of Lake Tanganyika.
