Under magnificent shade trees on the banks of a seasonal river in the remote southern sector of the Ruaha National Park, Jongomero is gloriously isolated. Far from the madding crowds, this secluded idyll offers a chance to discover true unadulterated wilderness. The camp’s experienced guides will show you the wealth of biodiversity Ruaha has to offer on exciting game drives, guided walks and walking safaris. Positioned on one of the meanders, the camp bar, lounge and restaurant are on an open wooden terrace shaded by a high thatched roof and are filled with sumptuous sofas and striking furniture made of reclaimed dhow wood. Accommodation at Jongomero comprises eight large stylish and well-appointed tented suites, built on raised wooden platforms with spacious private verandas overlooking the river bed.
