Ras Kutani (Dar)

A mere 25km south of the bustling metropolis of Dar es Salaam lies Ras Kutani; resting between the deserted shores of the Indian Ocean and the quiet inlets of a freshwater lagoon, this creates an idyllic barefoot hideaway.

The main emphasis at Ras Kutani is pure relaxation; after an adventurous safari circuit, kick back and ease into the barefoot luxury of our beach retreat, but various activities are offered to compliment our unique location.

Constructed from locally sustainable natural materials, the accommodation blends seamlessly into Ras Kutani’s exquisite environment, offering al fresco luxury living with a Swahili twist. The nine beach cottages are scattered on either side of the main building, all with ocean views and gentle breezes. Perched on the hillside and offering definitive privacy, are four secluded suites. In addition to this, Ras Kutani resort has a family house comprising of two spacious en-suite rooms, linked by an expansive terrace with built in seating.

This resort is one of the classiest I have been. Tranquility on the sea. Out suite was amazing! A view of a large lagoon and then the sea which seemed to surround us. The understated elegance was incredible.

Superlatives do not do Ras Kutani justice, as it is perfect in every way!
