Set on twenty acres with beautiful established gardens, Ololo is picturesquely positioned on the banks of the Mbagathe River on the southern border of the Nairobi National Park – the only National Park in the world that lies on the edge of a city.
Ololo Lodge is built around a traditional colonial farmhouse that has been carefully restored and extended by the owners. The lodge offers a variety of accommodation types to choose from, including thatched roof tented cottages, and each have been designed for comfort.
The lodge attempts as much as is possible to follow the landowner’s ethos of practising ‘sustainability today for a better tomorrow’ and has put into place several environmentally friendly mechanisms.
With striking views over both the national park and Ngong Hills from the vine covered front terrace and lawns, game spotting combined with sun- downer in hand is one of the lodge’s most popular pursuits.
Close to Nairobi, a great place to start or finish your kenyan visit.
This place is right on the border of the Nairobi National Park, and about a 30-45 minute drive from the airport. The rooms are nicely appointed, the food was excellent.
No need to look further for a quiet and peaceful stay in Nairobi, while enjoying the view and animals of Nairobi National Park.
