Saruni Mara & Saruni Wild

Saruni Mara is a small lodge with only 6 cottages and a private house located in the Mara North Conservancy which borders the Masai Mara National Reserve. Being in the Mara North Conservancy has the advantage of sharing the space with only fewer than 12 lodges in the concession, which means very limited cars out on the plains, offering you a very personal and authentic safari experience, with abundant game viewing year round.

Saruni Mara offers a very cultural and authentic safari in an isolated location away from the crowds where you are guided by Maasai warriors and learn about their traditions, cultures and history – a truly very special experience. Saruni Mara accommodates just fourteen guests in six cottages each individually designed and themed with comfortable furnishings, magnificent en-suite bathrooms, including a “shower with a view” and a veranda.

Saruni Wild

Recently relocated between the borders of Lemek and Mara North Conservancies, Saruni Wild is in a location of pristine wilderness.

The smaller sister camp to Saruni Mara, Saruni Wild offers you an intimate, luxury tented experience. With only three en-suite tents, Saruni Wild is the perfect home away from home experience for couples and families alike. Enjoy bush walks, game drives or animal tracking, and then round off the day with al fresco dinners and Maasai dancers by the bonfire.

Guest Comments

We spent 4 unforgettable nights at Saruni Mara. The staff, service, food, accommodation and setting was wonderful. We were always greeted with a welcoming smile and the staff were always interested in what we had done and seen during the day. The game viewing and landscapes were extraordinary.

This is a wonderful place for your very memorable safari vacation. The setting is wonderful, little huts on a hillside with a central building looking out at the hills and animals. They have a pet Eland that is very friendly and loveable
