Nestled amongst an indigenous forest, Sala’s Camp has a unique location in a secluded corner of the Masai Mara on the border of the Serengeti, right at the convergence of the Sand and Keekorok rivers. It provides guests with stunning views of the Northern Corridor, which is the famous Great Migration route, an annual spectacle not to be missed.
Accommodation is in 7 stylish but simple canvas tents, including a honeymoon tent which can comfortably accommodate families. All tents are spacious and airy, equipped with ensuite bathrooms with hot showers, flushing toilets and running water as well as a welcoming hammock in the trees in front of each tent.
Sala’s Camp offers guests sundowners with spectacular views towards Tanzania as well as excellent homemade cuisine which is usually enjoyed al fresco.
What a delight. The camp manager and all of her staff went out of their way to make our stay an experience of a lifetime. Our guide and tracker found us animal sightings that we will never forget and was not matched in the remainder of our 19-day safari. It was wonderful.
It is a secluded, intimate, and private camp well away from the hordes of tourists and 4 wheel drives and minibuses in the Mara. It’s beautifully decorated and the food is wonderful…we were very fortunate to stay in the Honeymoon tent, which was absolutely gorgeous! The wildlife just close by the camp is amazing .. and when you go out on a game drive, you feel like you have the whole area to yourself.
