DAY 1,2&3Amboseli, Tortilis Camp
Tortilis CampTortilis Camp

Famed for its long-tusked elephants, strategic views of Mt. Kilimanjaro, and hundreds of species of birds, Amboseli National park is a photographer’s heaven. Located on the south western edge of the park, facing the mountain and overlooking its own private conservancy – Kitirua conservancy – is Tortilis camp. A pioneer in low impact, high comfort accommodation and the first of its size to operate 100% on solar power, Tortilis camp is the setting example of eco-tourism. The en-suite tents are spacious, comfortable and offer views of Mt. Kilimanjaro on a clear day. Game drives in open sided vehicles and exclusive access to Kitirua conservancy are some of the privileges to behold at the camp, as well as guided bush walks and stunning sundowners.

DAY 4,5&6Lewa, Lewa Safari Camp
Lewa Safari Camp Rhino'sLewa Safari Camp Rhino’s

Underpinning the glamour is a serious mission: Lewa pioneered pragmatic conservation in the 1970’s, developing a world renowned successful rhino conservation habitat. Wildlife viewing is spectacular here: lion, leopard, jackal thrive on the rich diversity of prey. It is home to the world’s largest concentration of Grevy’s zebra and its range of habitats attract rare species such as Beisa oryx and prolific birdlife. Lewa Safari Camp is an integral part of the conservancy. Large tented bedrooms with verandas and full en-suite bathrooms; cozy log fires in the sitting room. This is a unique retreat, offering privileged access to 65,000 acres of private protected wilderness.

DAY 7,8&9Masai Mara, Elephant Pepper Camp
Kuria Hills bedroomKuria Hills bedroom

Elephant Pepper camp is located in the Mara North Conservancy, which enjoys the privacy and remoteness of only a few camps within it. Having undergone refurbishments in 2014, the tents are spacious, accommodate couples, families and groups alike, and offer a choice of traditional Safari showers or the more modern ‘plumbed’ showers with running hot and cold water. The plains in front of the camp are home to a number of species of wildlife and at night, the roars of lions, call of the leopard and trumpeting of the elephants close by are reassurance of being at one with the wild…no fences, no boundaries.
